Meditech ABPM-05 ambulatory blood pressure monitor has been successfully tested for vertically falling water drops and it was found to be in conformity with the European Standard 'EN 60529:1991'. ABPM-05 ambulatory blood pressure monitor is rated IP22, so it is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water.

About the Test

Meditech ABPM-05 monitor has been tested according to the Electrical & Mechanical Safety standard, the relevant particular standard and the Electromagnetic Compatibility standard as well. Within this scope, the monitor has been subjected to the International Protection (IP) test, which describes liquid ingress protection, and received degree '22'.

The aim of the IP test is to provide more information for the users on terms such as waterproof or water-resistance. Therefore the test classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion of solid object (first digit) and water (second digit).
